Serhiy Demediuk

Serhiy Demediuk is the chairman of the Institute's board, a third-rank police general, founder of Ukraine's cyber police, and deputy secretary of Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council. In 2015, Serhii Vasylovych headed the newly created Cyber Police Department of the National Police of Ukraine, laying the foundation for a system to combat cybercrime, creating methodologies for digital investigations, and building international partnerships in the field of cyber security. Since 2019, as Deputy Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, he has been shaping strategic decisions in the field of cybersecurity, critical infrastructure protection, and digital transformation of the state.

Aushev Yegor

Dr. Yegor Aushev is a cybersecurity expert and a CEO and Co-Founder of the cybersecurity firm CyberUnit.Tech. Considered one of the leading Ukrainian cybersecurity experts, he popularized the concept and legal use of Ethical Hackers, particularly for objects of critical infrastructure. He is also, a co-author of several international working papers on legislative cybersecurity reforms in Ukraine. In 2021 and 2022, he helped train more than 30 different Ukrainian ministries and public organizations, such as the National Bank of Ukraine and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine. On February 24, 2022, he helped recruit and more than 1000 cybersecurity expert volunteers to support Ukraine's cyber defense in cooperation with the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, and the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, also helping create a comprehensive national cybersecurity strategy. Dr. Yegor Aushev holds a Ph.D in High Energy Physics from Germany and worked at DESY and Fermilab prior to his career in cybersecurity.

Valentin Kucheruk

Valentyn Kucheruk has over 15 years of practical experience in the field of cyber security. Since 2019, he has been the director of the CyberLab Computer Forensics Laboratory. Valentyn specializes in investigating cyber incidents, developing and implementing information protection systems, conducting independent audits of IT infrastructure and assessing the level of information security for both public and private customers. One of the best specialists in Ukraine for information extraction and data recovery. Member of the Association of Corporate Security Professionals (APKBU), Cybersecurity Committee.

Oleg Haiduk

Senior executive with 25+ years of experience in the public sector, critical infrastructure and business. Top-tier civil servant (Category I, Rank I).
Held positions as Deputy Minister of Defence (2021–2023), Deputy Minister of Economy (2004) and Deputy Minister for Emergency Situations (1996–2000), Chairman of the national telecommunications regulator (2005–2007), CEO and Chairman of the Board of Ukrtelecom (2000–2003), and Diplomatic Advisor to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (since 2024). Extensive experience in building and transforming public institutions, management structures and information-analytical systems — from strategies and policies to the implementation of corporate platforms, process digitalization and cybersecurity in crisis and wartime conditions. Researcher and university lecturer in cybersecurity and cyber diplomacy.

Oleksii Baranovskyi

An accomplished cyber security expert with a background in both academia and industry, Dr. Baranovskyi began his career as a security analyst at a software product company before transitioning into the banking and financial industry. Dr. Baranovskyi holds certifications from recognized international organizations such as (ISC)2, ISACA and others, and is a certified trainer in cyber security with expertise in CISSP, CISM, CEH, and more. Dr. Baranovskyi has received numerous accolades for his work in cyber security, including recognition from the National Security Council of Ukraine, the State Telecommunication Service, and the Head of Cyberpolice for his contributions to the development of cyberpolice and national cybersecurity capabilities. Oleksii has also lent his expertise to several international projects, serving as a subject matter expert for organizations such as OSCE, USAID, and CRDF Global.

George Paparyga

Information rights expert. He held senior positions in the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine and the Office of the Ombudsman of Ukraine. Engages in law-making and legislative activities. Co-initiator of changes to the Constitution of Ukraine regarding the introduction in Ukraine of the Information Commissioner Institute - a special commissioner who will exercise parliamentary control in the sphere of information rights (rights of access to public information, rights to personal data protection). This model has been quite successfully implemented in such countries as Great Britain, Slovenia, Serbia, Hungary, Scotland, etc. Participated in the joint program of the European Union and the Council of Europe “Strengthening the information society in Ukraine” and “European standards Implementation in the Ukrainian media environment” (Council of Europe and the Government of Canada, together with the Supreme Administrative Court of Ukraine).

Oleksandr Korystin

Oleksandr Korystin is an expert in the implementation of a risk-based approach to security. In cooperation with EUAM, he develops and promotes the methodological foundations of Intelligence-led Policing (ILP). Together with the Cyber Police Department, he is implementing the EUROPOL IOCTA (Internet Organized Crime Threat Assessment) methodology, supplementing it with risk assessment and forecasting, determining the capacity of cyber police and the vulnerability of the cybersecurity system. His research projects focus on the strategic analysis of hybrid threats, cybersecurity, critical infrastructure resilience, risk management implementation, and security system resilience. He holds a D.Sc. (Law), is a professor, Honored Academic of Science and Technology of Ukraine.
